Sweetwater Branch Inn Lodging & Events

My wife and I spent five nights At this facility in February 2024. We requested and were given a room on the ground floor away from the street noise which was fine. The room was roomy and comfortable and fortunately had a small refrigerator unit. Room service was limited during this visit because we were part of a group event but this was not a problem except that trash bins were not regularly emptied and tended to nearly overflow by the final day of our Visit The breakfast service was very good and pleasantly prepared with great coffee by Brittany and her staff. The dinners were Likewise varied and very tasty including some southern dishes which we do not experience regularly at home. The owner Cornelia was available as needed and did a good introduction at the start of our stay. We were so busy with group activities unfortunately we did not get to experience the free bike and helmets to explore the neighborhood nor we have sufficient time at our ages to utilize the heated pool which looked great Overall we were more than satisfied and would return again should our timetable permit.

Sweetwater was the most perfect wedding venue! Adrienne and their team were so organized and professional. The food was absolutely amazing. The day of the wedding I was able to enjoy my wedding as I knew everything was already being handled. I cannot recommend it enough as a wedding venue. We also stayed onsite in the honeymoon cottage and it was so cute and romantic! The bed was very comfortable and the location was perfect. We will definitely be back!

Enjoyed the pay 50% at booking and remainder on or before check in. Breakfast was incredible; complementary for guests-don’t forget to sign the guestbook! We enjoyed having our breakfast on the enclosed front patio of the Cushman House. Pool/Hot Tub was delightful and heated, perfect time to relax with loved ones La Chua was a beautiful cottage. Location of La Chua was too close to a main road for us, making it a noisy night (traffic, sirens, pedestrians walking by) when trying to sleep but spacious, clean, plenty of towels and extra pillows. We really enjoyed the Roma bath and body products as well; the lotion was really nice. Sweetwater staff were super friendly, accommodating and genuinely seemed to enjoy meeting guests. Tara was so kind to us every time we saw her! We loved the cats on the property, we saw two, beautiful & friendly! The grounds/garden were lovely Many spots to take photos. The office has adults beverages available for purchase if desired and can charge to room. We had the most delicious chocolate chip cookies too when visiting. Overall 5/5 experience all around. Highly recommend & though we don’t travel often we would most certainly return in the future.

While visiting for the holidays, we decided to stay in a hotel vs with family for space reasons. Typically, hotels lack that home feel, but not here! The historic cottages/rooms are warm and welcoming, as are the wonderful staff members. They offer a great variety of tasty food for breakfast [big plus that you can actually meet the cook(s)], including the proprietary coffee which was delicious enough that we bought a bag to take home. The overall atmosphere was relaxed. There was nothing going on at the time, but they have options for weddings and events in their beautiful courtyard. All in all, the kids, wife and I loved staying here. We plan to make this our spot whenever we come visit again. We stayed in one of the cottages, but next time we plan to try one of the rooms in the main building. Although its all very kid friendly and safe, I think this would be a lovely place to go with just your significant other or yourself. Also, I should note that we stayed at a discounted rate, which is awesome that they'd even offer during holidays.

This place is amazing! It was such an unexpected surprise when I stayed here the first time in August and just as lovely this past week. The grounds, rooms and common areas are so charming and well appointed. Moreover, the attention to detail enhances the inn’s historic charm. The location is fabulous, close to campus yet, far enough away to maintain a peaceful setting. Tiffany, the morning chef does an excellent job with breakfast and manages to offer a variety of delicious and unique entrees. Plus, the rest of the staff is friendly and accommodating. I gave the rooms four stars instead of five only because the mattresses are firmer than I prefer. But, that’s my personal opinion. Perfect otherwise!
